The newly fallen snow in New Jersey reminded me of the cleansing power of the Lord's forgiveness. Through His sacrifice he washes away our sins, leaving us as white as snow. This allows a new beginning and a healing that opens us up to joy and peace in our hearts through the promise of eternal life. For this I am so grateful. Praise God!
Soon, a new mission in Africa will be given birth. As the Lord holds my hand, we will trod together with His mother at our side to answer the call of His people in Liberia. The fourteen years of civil war have left scars so there is much healing and reconciliation work to be done. Together, may His will be done.
Yesterday I was informed that I will probably be going to Ganta, Liberia. Up country from Monrovia, this is a commercial center. There is a wonderful team of priests and sisters there that I am looking forward to meeting and working with. I don't have any details yet as to the work or my departure date, but I will keep you informed. SMA father's house is in Tenafly, New Jersey.
