With Plane Ticket in Hand

With a plane ticket in hand, I will depart from Washington, DC on Saturday, February 17th enroute to Brussels then on to Monrovia, Liberia. For a few days I will meet with the SMA Superior, local priests, and other lay missionaries there. Upcountry another 3 hours, I will then travel to my new home in Ganta at the convent of the Consolata Sisters. Everyone tells me how wonderful they are! Their main project, the Leprosy Center is nearby where I may be working. So, this is very big news! I could not be more excited!

Please continue to keep me in prayer.

New Fallen Snow

The newly fallen snow in New Jersey reminded me of the cleansing power of the Lord's forgiveness. Through His sacrifice he washes away our sins, leaving us as white as snow. This allows a new beginning and a healing that opens us up to joy and peace in our hearts through the promise of eternal life. For this I am so grateful. Praise God!

Soon, a new mission in Africa will be given birth. As the Lord holds my hand, we will trod together with His mother at our side to answer the call of His people in Liberia. The fourteen years of civil war have left scars so there is much healing and reconciliation work to be done. Together, may His will be done.

Yesterday I was informed that I will probably be going to Ganta, Liberia. Up country from Monrovia, this is a commercial center. There is a wonderful team of priests and sisters there that I am looking forward to meeting and working with. I don't have any details yet as to the work or my departure date, but I will keep you informed. SMA father's house is in Tenafly, New Jersey.
